So, the day is almost over by the time I got started on today’s entry – but it is still Canada Day and still time to be HAPPY!
The weather is great – not too hot, just comfortable shirt sleeve weather. It is 21C right now and I am not even sure what it went up to day.
I got the grass cut and the windows washed after walking the dogs this morning. I saw some ducks along the river – but no babies. Speaking of that Red River – it has risen again. It was pretty much down to the normal summer level and now it is up and the bushes are back in the river. I haven’t been over to The Forks, but I suspect that the walkways are under water again too.

The Rising Red River (again)

Whenever the river rises, we get floating debris.
Back in my yard, the peony is now blooming.

And the Iris is still blooming.

I hadn’t been back to check on the Winnipeg Falcons for awhile and what a surprise tonight when I did. They don’t look like babies any more. The largest one is standing on the edge of the building and you can see the fluffy down flying off his body every time he moves. Unfortunately, it is not zoomed in, but here are a couple of pictures.
